Portuguese television network TVI has secured free-to-air rights to the Taça de Portugal for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons. TVI will air 11 matches each season, including fixtures from both the third and fourth rounds of the competition, as well as the Round of 16, quarterfinals, semis and final. As part of its agreement with the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), the commercial broadcaster will also air the annual Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira match between the champions of the Portuguese League and the Portuguese Cup, for the period of the deal.
TVI has retained its free-to-air (FTA) broadcast rights to the UEFA Champions League in Portugal. The terrestrial channel will televise one game per match day involving a Portuguese team, in addition to the Champions League final -- per Portuguese regulations. TVI will also share preview and highlights shows with Eleven Sports.
