Media company OneFootball has acquired exclusive digital and streaming rights to Liga MX for the upcoming 2021/22 campaign thanks to a deal struck with Liga MX by of Spanish media organization Mediapro on their behalf. This partnership will cover both the two championships featured in Liga MX: the Apertura 2021 and the Clausura 2022, and as part of the arrangement, OneFootball will show anywhere from two to five matches per round.
In addition to subscribers in Latin America, OneFootball will also provide streaming coverage for fans based in the UK, the EU (France, Italy, and Germany), and various countries in Africa and Asia.
International over-the-top (OTT) provider OneFootball has secured streaming rights to Japan’s J-League for fans in Italy. Starting from July 2021, subscribers in Italy, as well as Vatican City and San Marino, will be able to follow their favorite teams and players via range of devices.
OneFootball and the United Soccer League (USL) have now agreed for the over-the-top (OTT) provided to offer exclusive streaming access to the USL for subscribers in Italy. Broadcasts begin in August 2021, with fans able to follow via a wide range of devices, including computer, tablet, smart TV, and mobile.
OneFootball has secured exclusive streaming rights for the German DFB Pokal in France, Italy, Netherlands and UK. The digital platform and the German Football Association agreed a deal for the 2020-21 season. As part of the agreement, OneFootball will air highlights, in addition to live DFB Pokal matches.
