BeIN Sports has extended its French Ligue 1 rights in the United States till the end of the 2023/24 season. The deal allows the pay-TV broadcaster to air Ligue 1 matches live, as full replays or as edited highlights, on both its English- and Spanish-language television networks (beIN Sports English and beIN Sports en Español). Though the TV channels are expected to telecast matches from the league’s biggest teams, such as PSG, premium video streaming platform beIN Sports Connect will be responsible for live streaming most of the matches online and on its apps.
beIN Sports has extended its exclusive broadcast rights for the Spanish La Liga until 2024. Both beIN SPORTS USA and beIN SPORTS en Español will cover the games in English and Spanish respectively on television, as live, delayed or repeat broadcasts. Streaming service beIN Sports Connect will go further to stream all 380 Liga matches live and on demand, on computers, tablets and smartphones. Original programming, such as studio shows, match previews and analysis, will additionally be used to complement coverage of the games.
BeIN SPORTS XTRA will show live matches from the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA)’s 2020 Fall Championship Tournament in USA and Canada. BeIN SPORTS XTRA will cover the games with English-language commentary, following a partnership between the broadcaster and the league announced at the beginning of September 2020. Users will be able to watch NISA’s 2020 Fall Championship Tournament live on television, as well as on their smartphones and tablets. Streams will also be available on over-the-top (OTT) service beIN SPORTS CONNECT in USA.
